Executive Director
Warroad Community Development (WCD) is excited to announce the search for a visionary leader for our Executive Director role.
The WCD Executive Director primary areas of responsibility include:
- Work with the City and community to build a forward looking narrative as we counter conventional wisdom in defining our community
- Design a roadmap, inspire entrepreneurial investment, define prioritization recommendations of projects, budgets and resources in partnership with the city of Warroad
- Work collaboratively. Support our partners. Listen to the community. Inspire the community with what could be. Believe in a strong and vibrant Warroad. Believe in the spirit of possibility.
Qualifications
- Seven (7) years of experience preferred with two (2) or more specifically in community development and transformation.
- Experience providing leadership and direction in long term strategic planning with cross-functional community leaders.
- Three (3) years of municipal planning and economic development.
- Bachelor’s degree in municipal and regional planning, urban regional studies and planning, public administration, business administration or related field is highly desirable.
- Master’s degree in one of the above areas is desirable.
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) accreditation is preferred.
- A history of volunteering in an individual or community capacity is beneficial.
Competitive compensation package starting at an annual salary of $140,000 based on experience and qualifications.
