The Minnesota Department of Corrections is seeking an Experienced Carpenter to lead a team in building affordable housing in Alexandria, MN. This role involves supervising and training low-risk level inmates in carpentry, contributing to community development, and helping with inmate rehabilitation. The carpenter will oversee construction, repair, and remodeling projects while mentoring trainees.



Responsibilities:
Supervise and instruct work crews, manage materials, and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications:
Completed approved carpentry apprenticeship and 4 years of carpentry experience
Supervisory experience (lead/foreman)
Ability to train and mentor inmates
