Downs Food Group welcomes you! As a leading fully-cooked protein processor and co-packer of frozen entrees, we produce branded and private label products for some of America’s top companies. Our ability to produce precisely what our customers desire, coupled with unmatched service and support, has enabled us to win awards from some of the largest and most respected companies in the business.
Our story began in 1947 when Tony Downs purchased a produce business in St. James, Minnesota. Over the next few decades, Tony’s dedication and ingenuity helped to grow the business into a leading fully-cooked protein processor and co-packer of frozen entrees. Several key acquisitions have added multiple new capabilities, allowing us to grow and diversify our services.
Today, we’re proud that our family-owned business has earned the trust of our business partners by consistently producing quality products for over 70 years. As we innovate and expand, three things remain at the forefront of our business philosophy: Quality, Service and Respect.
