The Jamestown Sun is a 5,500-circulation daily newspaper serving Jamestown and the surrounding communities of south-central North Dakota. It is the state’s third oldest newspaper, with 50 employees. It includes an agricultural special section that reaches 20,400 homes each Saturday. 

Jamestown, population 15,600, is the Stutsman County seat and home to the National Buffalo Museum which features The World’s Largest Buffalo and “White cloud,” a rare albino buffalo. Jamestown College, a highly regarded private liberal arts institution and the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame are also located in Jamestown.

Jamestown is centrally located between Fargo and Bismarck, ND. Known as the “Pride of the Prairie,” Jamestown offers a plethora of recreational opportunities, including fishing, waterfowl and big game hunting, camping, boating, snowmobiling and golfing.
