Job Overview
  • Essential Job Duties:
    • Serve as a developer of the Covance CRM system, possessing full knowledge of the system and associated tools, including functionality, troubleshooting and administrative support
      • Serve as first-line contact for end-users and Technology Team
      • Assist with the development and documentation of business and functional requirements and all implementations related to stand alone functionality and system integration needs, including testing of new enhancements and documentation
      • Devise solutions using tools such as Apex Triggers, Apex Classes, Visualforce, SOQL, and cutting-edge JavaScript Frameworks.
      • Expand the Force.com platform to enable interactive and dynamic functionality utilizing Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience (LEX).
      • Reverse engineer legacy solutions and ensure functionality and business logic is kept intact and that it is compatible for LEX.Establish and maintain relationships with all functional areas using Salesforce.com, including Sales, Client Services, Marketing, Finance, Contracts, etc.
      • Facilitate and support the Salesforce.com Governance Process for Covance leveraging tools that enable version control and tracked changes
      • Liaise with IT technical resources related to Salesforce.com system support and expansion, (i.e. Single Sign On, legacy system integration, mobile platform, etc.)
    • Experience: Minimum Required:

      1-3 years of Force.com development experienceExpertise in Salesforce.com development including SDLC best practices, declarative automation - workflows, Apex, Visualforce, and JavaScript FrameworksStrong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design

      Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools

      Experience with the Salesforce Lightning User Interface (LEX) a plusBachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering a plus

      Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products especially Excel, PowerPoint

      Familiarity with other IT systems/business application capabilities in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points

      Knowledge of Reporting and Business Intelligence tools

      Experience working with a B2B sales organization

      Ability to understand internal customer needs and develop appropriate solutions with regard to sales force automation needs and SFDC capabilities

      Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an audience appropriate manner

      Sets high standards of performance; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments

      Sound judgment with effective decision making skills and the ability to solve problems independently

        • Ability to think and perform tasks independently
      • Ability to work within a virtual and a matrix environment
      • Effective planning, organizing and time management skills

      • Experience in development of formal and informal training content, a plus
    Education/Qualifications

    III. Education/Qualifications/Certifications and Licenses Recommended:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
