WOW Logistics is now hiring for a Manager of Software Development. This person will manage a team of software developers, testers, team leads and other technical personnel to deliver high quality and on-time software projects. This person must have experience leading and managing software development projects and technical personnel. This person will be a working manger with approximately 50% of their time spent coding & 50% on responsibilities listed below. They must have experience with JavaScript, C#, and SQL Server, and other technologies used at WOW Logistics.ResponsibilitiesTechnical RequirementsManage ProductOwns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project as requested.Manages software development and support products such as TFS, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing as required.Manage, coordinate, and lead project estimations, system analysis, project dependencies, deliverables and resources.Troubleshoot problem areas, identify potential crises with contingency plans, and identify a critical path in order to achieve project goals by understanding key business process and stakeholders needs.Oversees project deployments including updating deployment plans, finding resources, ensuring package readiness.Demonstrates expertise in our primary technologies (Angular.js, C#, MVC, SQL)Manage PeopleManage development team while ensuring high productivity and quality.ProcessIdentifies and assist in the improvement of software development processes, best practices and tools.Functional RequirementsManages and enforces that the development team follows all the development processes including coding standards, code reviews, etc. 90% of time.Follows processes 100% of the time. Enforces the development team compliance 90% of the time:TFS story/task management:Source Control: Manages branch strategies as required.Continuous Integration/Delivery: Oversees the deployment of code throughout the development lifecycle along with any key technical documentation.Automated Testing: Provide coverage testing in critical operations web applications.SCRUM/Kanban processDelivers clear, detailed and understandable technical documentation as requested. Reviews and assures the quality of team projects.Facilitates cross-functional team communication and meetings to ensure the team meets or exceeds expectations. Serves as liaison between development staff and other areas.Trains new and existent team members and ensures continues improvement.Administrative RequirementsWorks independently and requires minimal supervision.
