mGage is currently looking for a talented Sr. Oracle database administrator with 5+ years of experience for Global Technology Operations Team. The DBA will perform administration and engineering for multiple production databases, and will be responsible for fast-paced, complex distributed database environments supporting both OLTP and OLAP systems across multiple versions of Oracle and other DB platforms.

In this 24x7x365 fast paced and dynamic role you will work on a highly technical team responsible for the availability, scalability, performance, and security of the mGage platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of Oracle Production, Test, and Development instances.
  • Responsible for Oracle 11g RAC Architecture, Configuration, and Administration
  • Perform day-to-day database administration and performance monitoring tasks
  • Ensure availability, performance, security, and operational efficiency
  • Perform root cause analysis, and resolution, for Oracle incidents
  • UNIX shell scripting, PLSQL tuning and SQL scripting
  • Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
  • Provide production support 24x7 for all the Oracle and EBS environment.
  • Documenting and promoting Database technology standards.
  • Responsible for space management and capacity planning for databases.
  • Develop and manage the backup and recovery process for RDBMS and E-Business suite.
  • Troubleshoot RDBMS and EBS related issues using diagnostic and performance tools.
  • Create new database users as required.
  • Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
  • Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
  • Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases.
  • Actively participates in supporting test plans, test environments, benchmarks and statistics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent command of the English is mandatory. Both written and oral.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an application DBA in an Oracle environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with multi-terabyte databases, data guard, advanced replication and disaster recovery.
  • Extensive experience with high-volume OLTP database systems and with DWH database systems and associated ETL processing.
  • Has knowledge of and experience with more advanced DB concepts like backup and recovery, monitoring, performance tuning preferred.
  • Knowledge of all supporting infrastructure components, including operating systems, hardware/storage configurations and networks.
  • Excellent UNIX skills and a grasp of fundamental computing concepts such as system calls, memory management and program debugging.
  • Experience in system administration of LINUX, configuring storage arrays networks, disk configuration including multipath, knowledge of networking components is a plus.
  • Experience in Oracle 10g/11g RAC and GRID Architecture, Configuration, and Administration
