We are seeking an R&D Scientist! The R&D Scientist performs a variety of tasks from R&D projects to client driven campaigns and optimization of existing products/processes. The R&D Scientist is expected to be motivated and capable of efficient prioritization, planning and scheduling multiple projects in order to effectively meet pre-determined deadlines. The R&D Scientist is responsible for completing multiple assigned tasks and project with minimal direction and have the ability to clearly organize and document data throughout projects, as well as accurately write and present inclusive final reports.

About the Role:
- Work on the research and development of new services and technologies such as (not limited to) mRNA, proteins, antibodies and non-traditional plasmid vectors
- Develop R&D and process development plans for new services and technologies
- Lead the execution of experiments and bio-physical and chemical data analysis
- Creating detailed project summary reports,and presenting findings and recommendations to senior management
- Support, lead or actively contribute to a team setting within the laboratory and potentially with other departmental work teams to: increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, improve quality, and provide new innovation support
- Assay development and support qualification/validation if needed
- Research and assess process/technology improvements
- Performing reviews of technical documentation and professional publications
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a molecular biology, biochemistry, or microbiology laboratory environment
- Experience in process development and optimization (biologics), assay optimization, experimental design, and data analysis
- Ph.D. in biochemistry, or related field preferred, minimal of Master's degree with 3 years of relevant work experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant work experience required
