Job Title: IT - Database Analyst / Programmer IV

Job Description: This worker will start out with 40 hours a week. Hours may decrease as the workload goes down. This worker will be helping with the Catalyst Go Live set for February 2019. Seeking someone to help modify existing SSR Reports, modify and automate an existing script for updating a database, and to setup BarTender labeling printing software. Seeking a worker that can cross between reporting and coding/ developing. This person should be flexible with various tasks. The role will be housed at the Plant within the RD& E department. There is some potential to work remotely down the road with time. The work for this role can and will be sporadic work.

The main function of a database analyst/programmer is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.

??? Strong knowledge of database management software.

Skills:

??? Review and approve the testing of programs or databases.

??? Review existing databases and database management systems and direct programmers and analysts to make changes.

??? Coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.

??? Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish the project.

??? Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.

??? Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.

??? Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information.

Education/Experience:

??? Associate's degree in computer programming
