Position Summary:
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Richland is recruiting for a part-time (25%) Athletic Administrator. Located at the Richland Center campus, this position is responsible for conducting a continuous educational program looking toward the development of scholarship, sportsmanship, and understanding of the values of competitive athletics. As head of the UW-Platteville Richland Athletic Program, reporting directly to the Campus Dean, the Athletic Administrator is responsible for overall leadership of the program. Responsibilities:
The Athletic Administrator directs all Richland campus athletic programs and intramural sports. This position is responsible for collegiate team/game support, including the scheduling of opponents/games, coordination of transportation and coordination of facilities/staffing for home games. Student-Athlete support is a key component of this position. The incumbent will support head coaches through recruitment efforts, review student-athlete eligibility and model a firm commitment to student-athlete's academic performance. The Athletic Administrator is also responsible for managing all department personnel, including coaches and student workers, in addition to managing the department's budget, facilities and equipment. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relatable field from and accredited institution
- Five years' supervisory or game management experience
- Two years' budget management experience
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Effect written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education or Sports Management from an accredited institution
- Experience in sports management
- Coaching background
- Fundraising experience
