Regina Hospital, located in Hastings, Minn., provides health care services including primary care, internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, inpatient geriatric mental health, urology and occupational medicine. The Hastings campus also includes senior living facilities, two Allina Health clinics and a surgery center.

Responsibilities

Req ID: 55435
Safety and security of the workplace and patient care areas
Maintains doors, frames, associated hardware including locks & keys
Modifies cabinets, counters, millwork
Repairs and installs flooring
Performs minor remodeling, touch-ups, and updates finishes for projects
Moves assembles furniture and equipment
Performs electrical and general maintenance

Education

High School Graduate preferred, or GED

Qualification/Skills

Prefer at least two years vocational or associated training in carpentry and at least two years commercial or three years experience residential construction including wall repair, taping, preps, painting multiple surfaces and wall-covering. Knowledgeable in infection control practices
Knowledgeable in local building codes and regulations
Knowledgeable in safe operation of hand and powered tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective and respective communication, through paperwork and documentation, and effective troubleshooting and problem solving

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, unless work / projects need to be performed at other times including weekends to minimize disruptions

The city's charming downtown is an interesting collection of restaurants, shops, and third-generation stores. Within the city limits are 8 city parks, 14 neighborhood parks, and boat access ramps. Two ski slopes and six golf courses are nearby. The neighborhoods feature a blend of large, quaint, older homes complemented by newer housing that lends a suburban influence.
