Responsibilities

Req ID: 54104
Creates and manages scorecards and dashboards for monitoring department quality performance
Conducts investigations and facilitates interdisciplinary Root Cause Analysis (RCA) / Critical Event Reviews (CER) for adverse health events and near-misses
Coordinates Failure Modes Effects Analysis projects
Collaborates with hospital and medical staff leaders to identify performance improvement opportunities and implements change plans to reduce care variation, and improve patient outcomes
Proficient in using existing data to identify areas or patient populations for focused studies
Uses concepts of evidence-based medicine for benchmarking
Ability to anticipate future needs, and develop innovative strategies for achieving strategic objectives
Provides consultation recommendations related to regulatory compliance to hospital and medical staff leaders and teams through annual chapter review and improvement plans that align with the departments 90 day plans and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
Supports annual external surveys

Education

Bachelors degree required
Masters degree preferred

Qualification/Skills

Experience
Broad based hospital experience
Knowledge of quality improvement principles, rapid cycle methodology, regulatory standards,
multidisciplinary team process, and resource utilization
Current/previous Quality or Performance Improvement experience preferred

Licensure/Certification

Work Schedule

Full-time position (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week)

Day- Monday through FridaySome schedule flexibility required to meet customer needs for early/late appointments
Flex the schedule based on meetings, etc... i.e. days of the week and hours are flexible
