Automation Controls Engineer Job DescriptionMasis Professional Group has an immediate opening for a Controls Engineer in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. This is a full time, direct hire position for a well-established industry leader, that has experienced significant growth year after year.Automation Controls Engineer Role & ResponsibilitiesThe Controls Engineer will support various company projects seeing them through from start to finish. Working very closely with company Project Managers to clearly define the necessary controls that will be needed to meet client's expectations, in turn presenting cost estimates to the client.As the Controls Engineer you will be responsible for leading the Electrical Design team, overseeing and assisting with the drafting of diagrams and determining all that will be required for each project.The Controls Engineer will write a specific description explaining how the system that the team has developed will operate, to each specific client. Once created, the Controls Engineer will be required to further develop and test the PLC program.During the final phases of each project, the Controls Engineer will lead their design team to perform onsite IO checks, supporting the PLC program until the system if fully functional. Also performing maintenance and training end users on site.Continually communicating to the client and internal team abreast of any and all changes or events that occur throughout the entire process.Automation Controls Engineer Qualifications5-7 Years' experience in the Food & Dairy Industry with Machine Controls and/or Packaging.Capability of developing or customizing a program to each customer's specific needs from scratch and being flexible as needed.Ability and experience managing the entire scope of the engineering process and delivering end result in a timely fashion.Must be highly proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC Programming Software, Wonderware InTouch, Wonderware Archestra, and FactoryTalk HMI developmentExperience designing controls system networks, programming and configuring Variable Frequency Drive systems, specifically Rockwell hardware, as well as robotic palletizing applications.Must have an in depth knowledge of Safety Control SystemsMust have a 4 year engineering degree to be considered.MPG is a national based recruiting firm, with client relationships built from coast to coast.
