Job Title Location Summary - basic function of the role

The Application/Design Engineer for serves as a technical consultant with our customers who also develops product designs that solve their needs. The position is responsible for confirming specifications, standards, and changes required to design and deliver new or improved products. Specifically, use technical aptitude to lead the design, development, and implementation of our hydraulic based products to satisfy the specific application requirements and customer specifications.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service working with customer, sales and manufacturing representatives to answer questions and to confirm technical functionality for products based on technical area of expertise.
  • Assist in solving technical problems that the customer has while using the product.
  • Present ideas and information accurately and explain industry jargon in a clean manner to customer
  • Design components, assemblies, and hydraulic circuits for customer requests.
  • Controls and hydraulic integeration with customer equipment.
  • ERP system entering and maintenance.
  • Skills and Competencies
  • Job requires the ability to influence across multiple business areas including sales, business development, and with the end customer directly to facilitate and gather technical information about the client's needs.
  • Requires in-depth technical aptitude, strong data analysis and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving or "solutions seeking" approach to provide a high level of technical expertise in a prompt and timely and deliver customer service to exceed customer needs.

  • Creating mechanical 3D and 2D drawings in Solidworks through EPDM

  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and a minimum of three (3) years hydraulic experience with some controls related exposure.
  • Prior experience working in a customer service/support or customer facing role and the ability to demonstrate timely communication, interaction and follow-up/follow-through skills to deliver exceptional customer engagement.

    Position will be in an office environment, manufacturing assembly, manufacturing machining and field based locations depending on customer interface required.
