As Lead Project Manager, you will provide the highest level of project management expertise and consultation to business domains and/or the IS Department. At any given time, you will lead one or more highly complex, enterprise-wide project (generally, greater than 1 year in duration, with a budget of more than $2M, and impacting multiple domain areas). You will define and manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality, responsible for monitoring overall progress for compliance with established best practices and to ensure project closure as originally approved. Specific responsibilities include: budget management; risk mitigation strategies; timely communication with sponsors and stakeholders; vendor procurement and management activities. Above all, you are a strategic thinker able to regroup readily as priorities necessitate; you take ownership of issues, moving between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence to motivate and bring out the best in those around you.
Bring Your Best! What this role needs:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Seven or more years of project management experience with at least two years experience at a program level
  • Experience with managing projects in multiple technologies and/or business functions
  • Experience with project management methodologies or SDLC (systems development life cycle) preferred
  • Experience in aligning projects to corporate strategies
  • Experience with vendor relationship management and/or contract creation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to influence and persuade team members, stakeholders and vendors
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or a similar project management tool preferred
