We have a Contract role for IT Project Management Senior Advisor (IT) with our client in St. Louis, MO,.Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.

The details of the position are:
IT Project Management Senior Advisor (IT) St. Louis, MO/Bloomington MN
Role:

  • Provides advanced professional input to complex IT Project Management assignments/projects.
  • Supports and provides direction to more junior professionals.
  • Works autonomously, only requiring expert level technical support from others.
  • Exercises judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures.
  • Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends, within IT Project Management.

Responsibilities:

  • None. Unless you are assigned to an initiative that require Delivery manager support during intake
  • Understand the significance of the program epic ( Epic objective, value - $*** risk/issue of not doing, business impact)
  • De-Comp:
  • Work with Domain planner and Technical Product Owners (TPO) to identify the cross functional dependencies.
  • Build Tetris plan/project plan/identify dependencies in JIRA. Tool depends on the complexity of the epic/projects. Goal/outcome of this is to have e2e teams impact and their schedule based on target/committed dates
  • Execution:
  • Manage day to day tasks of the program epic delivery
  • Work with Cross-functional TPOs to get a target and/or committed dates. If TPO provides target date, please work with TPO at least 3 weeks before the target date to make sure they can commit to the target date.
  • Provide schedule visibility and any change in schedule impact/details to stakeholders.
  • Work with TPOs to work on any change in priorities during execution.
  • Note: If TPOs cannot resolve the priorities with other team TPOs then BPOs (Engineering Director/Sr. Directors) should be engaged.
  • Provide status to the domain planner.
  • Remove the roadblocks (open impediments) for the team.
  • Manage Risks and issues. Also any escalations and/or visibility of the risks/issues with cross-functional Stakeholders, domain planner & Delivery directors
  • Create other metrics as needed/applicable (Burn Down charts..etc)


Requirements:

  • Infrastructure experience Knowledge of Servers, network, middleware and databases
  • Tools JIRA, SharePoint, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • 5-7 years of experience ideally
