SUMMARY: To welcome guests and provide superior service. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, deliver orders, check back, ensure satisfaction and pre-bus tables
* Operate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalents
* Answer questions, provide menu suggestions and offer event and promotional information
* Complete stocking and cleaning duties
* Help clean tables and surrounding areas after guests leave
* Provide assistance and break coverage to coworkers
* Communicate with coworkers and management to ensure superior service to guests
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
* 6 months Server experience in similar culinary environment
* Previous point-of-sales systems experience
* Previous cash handling experience
Preferred:
* High School Diploma/GED
Skills
Required:
* Accurate and detail-oriented
* Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
* Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Above average math skills
Abilities
Required:
* Ability to work fast and efficiently
* Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
* Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
* Ability to enthusiastically and professionally sell and up-sell food & beverage products
* Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
* Ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a professional manner
