SUMMARY: To provide guests with courteous service and property information. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome guests, answer questions and provide information and support to guests
Maintain and service coat check, paging, wheelchair/scooter distribution, and lost and found ensuring proper documentation for all
Be knowledgeable and provide guests with information regarding property-wide events and other property amenities
Assist guests with issues, accept guest comment forms and forward to Guest Service Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
1-year hospitality or guest service experience
Preferred:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Skills
Required:
Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Strong computer skills Microsoft (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows
Abilities
Required:
Ability to work fast and efficiently
Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to serve both internal and external customers
Ability to enthusiastically and professionally sell and / or up-sell property amenities
Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
REQUIRED TRAINING
Treasure Island guest service training
Proper paging / phone techniques
Computer databases used for tracking and logging information
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the day
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
Must have the ability to kneel, bend and crouch
Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionally
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must have good eye hand coordination
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke and outdoors for guest events
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
High volume direct public contact
