SUMMARY: To assist supervisors with the day-to-day Hotel Laundry operations. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist supervisors with staff training
* Direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards
* Receive linen / towel shipments and complete monthly linen inventories
* Maintain a working process to ensure maximum productivity
* Organize the laundry room
* Maintain preventive maintenance records and schedule equipment maintenance
* Ensure hotel landings are fully stocked at the beginning of each work day
* Ensure proper usage of laundry chemicals
* Perform duties of staff as needed
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
* 2 years laundry experience in a mid-sized, full-service hotel
Preferred:
* Previous lead experience
Skills
Required:
* Accurate and detail-oriented
* Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
* Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
