Project Engineer

We are a growing, Minneapolis based, Commercial Contractor currently looking for a full-time position for a Project Engineer. This role would assist in the continued success and growth of our organization through the execution/support of project deliverables. The position will work collaboratively with internal Project Managers, Field Superintendents and/or work independently to be involved in overall planning, management, and execution of work for assigned construction projects. The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting supervisors on commercial projects to ultimately maximize project profitability and promote company objectives and goals through the performance of his/her job, meeting quality and safety standards as well as meeting owner expectations. We are seeking an individual who can foster outstanding relationships, communication, and teamwork in this 'fun, but hardworking environment'. Position Responsibilities Responding to the inquiries of the team members of the construction projectTo work with project managers and help predict the duration of the project and the cost involved.Communicating with the construction project manager regarding concerns that affect the progress of a construction project. Creating and maintaining construction project files.Coordinating with subcontractors regarding details.Coordinating with construction project personnel in order to ensure that project deadlines are met.Help obtaining the necessary licenses or permits.Keep project teams informed weekly with project updates. Minimum Qualifications ?? Pursuing or graduated with a degree in Construction Management.?? Must have excellent reading as well as writing skills.?? Should have a good eye for details.?? Should be comfortable with understanding blueprints.?? Must have good communication and social skills.?? Must be able to work as a team and foster confidence in all.?? Should be comfortable in basic computer applications and knowledge in software like MS Word and Excel are necessary. ?? Should have the knowledge of basic construction software.
