Position Summary:

The Food Production Assistant is a shift lead position, responsible for leading Cooks and Food Service Assistants during daily food production to ensure staff is properly trained on operation procedures and food production responsibilities, and coordination of tear down, cleaning and sanitation of work space at shift's end. This is a full-time, year-round position, offering an excellent benefit package. The hours for this position are roughly Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 am - 8 pm, and may require additional hours as needed. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and participates in food preparation and leads meal set ups, on-site food and beverage final preparations, service to customers, and post event take down; which includes meals served during the evening, day, or weekends with regular or customized menus;
  • Monitors the attractiveness & freshness of foods displayed and served;
  • Independently responds to customer requests and concerns during meal service and ensures appropriate standards of customer service achieved
  • Train and lead assigned student and LTE employees in proper food preparation,
  • Performs the duties of the board operations employees when the need arises
  • Performs administrative responsibilities associated with the Board Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years quantity foods cooking experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience
  • Current ServSafe certificate or equivalent
