Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Now hiring for a Central Intake Supervisor in Willmar, MN. The Central Intake Supervisor will be responsible for processing all invoices to accounts receivable and follow through for payment. Knowledge of company policies. Answer phone and assist customers as necessary. Knowledge of reimbursement by third party payers, including prior authorization requirements. Must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies provided by Rice Home Medical and uphold its Standards of Excellence. Responsible for competently and efficiently performing all tasks relative to the order intake process in a friendly and professional manner. Responsible for knowledge of third party reimbursement regulations and requirements. Most importantly, the Customer Service Representative must provide top quality customer service to our patients and referrals, ensuring positive customer experiences are obtained.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answer incoming phone calls, take customer orders and key order into computer as appropriate.
  • Ensures accuracy and timely billing is occurring in accordance with specific payer requirements.
  • Monitors billing holds and coordinates needed information with other departments.
  • Ensures accurate and timely billing of outside facilities, and vendors.
  • Establishes and implements controls to ensure appropriate submission, billing, and payment cycles.
  • Establishes and monitors auditing and billing office policies and procedures to ensure maximization of revenue for department. Ensures that all guidelines are followed, and all corresponding reconciliation and month-end reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Designs and compiles periodic financial reports for management to include analysis of revenue and medical service activity.
  • Keeps current on reimbursement and billing issues as well as implementing the changes in the organization's current practices. Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge of federal and state legislative and administrative action affecting reimbursement; disseminates acquired knowledge to faculty.
  • Analyzes, recommends, and implements policies and procedures as needed to maximize reimbursement for all services rendered in compliance with established third-party guidelines.
  • Coordinates system needs with relevant individuals.
  • Delegates and monitors responsibilities at staff levels.
  • Arranges for orientation and training of new employees within department.
  • Develops objectives and performance standards, monitors productivity and reviews employees' work on a periodic basis, and conducts annual performance reviews for employees within the department.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Healthcare experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Prefer 2-4 years in a supervisory capacity in a healthcare environment which may include a hospital, medical equipment, or clinic business office required.
  • Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment required
  • Experience with revenue cycles strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and supervision skills.
