JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Organizational Effectiveness(OE) Consultant supports the OE leaders in developing organizational effectiveness programs, activities and plans, and the leadership development program design, strategy and implementation . Supports Human Resources Strategic Partners (HRSP) and other stakeholders to conduct organizational assessment and diagnosis, improve organizational effectiveness due to changing business strategy or environment, and/or provide guidance on projects. This position also uses deep consulting skills to collaborate with Human Resource Advisors (HRA) and leaders in all markets that are addressing opportunities with team effectiveness. Supports the design of organizational, team and leader effectiveness tools, methodologies, and policies. Develops and leads organizational effectiveness projects and work streams (e.g. a nursing engagement plan) utilizing Center of Excellence (COE) methodologies, processes, and tools adapting to market or function needs and environments.
Designs future state organizational structures, agile innovation initiatives, impact assessments, employee engagement plans and culture assessments working with the Organizational Effectiveness Manager and HRSP to understand specific market and function needs for successful deployment. Conducts assessments, share results, and identify areas for improvement for leader, team and organization effectiveness. Provides content, development, facilitation and communication for leadership development programs. Implements initiatives that proactively drive workforce engagement to align with employment brand. Manages programs that regularly access culture and engagement. Applies an evidence-based approach, as well as human centered design methodology and resources to determine appropriate solutions to be tested. Implements actionable and targeted plans to enable effective transitions and mitigate resistance.
Observes, receives and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources including HR Strategic Partners and department leadership and staff. Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time. Analyze information and evaluate results to choose and implement the best solution to solve the problem. Identifies the underlying principles, reasons or facts by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Conducts research studies of physical work environments, organizational structures, culture, communication systems, group interactions, employee experience or motivation to assess organizational functioning and coach the creation of action plans.
Conducts presentations on areas of subject matter expertise. Creates high performance habits and optimum departmental and organizational outcomes. Teaches, models and coaches agility, adaptability and innovative methodologies. Designs, implements and sustains enterprise-wide initiatives, which advance culture, the employee experience and operational and business outcomes, as well as the patient experience. Creates and gains adoption of strategy development, workforce transition and talent alignment processes.
Possesses strong research, rapport building, observation, group facilitation, relationship management, assessment, problem solving, change management, implementation, collaboration, writing, teaching, critical thinking, adaptability, analytical and influencing, skills.
Responsibilities:
• Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
• Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
• Evaluate stakeholder readiness, desired project results, potential resistance and performance gaps to facilitate change from current state to desired state.
• Support the design, development, delivery and management of communication and marketing strategies and tactics.
• Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs and materials.
• Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
• Identify evolving project deliverables, including changes in project scope and potential conflicts, develop and implement plans to remove barriers and resolve issues.
• Partner with project management teams to incorporate change management methods to increase success.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages all aspects and phases of a consulting relationship. Identifies many possible causes for a problem based on prior experience and current research. Facilitates a continuous development culture to deepen staff knowledge and skills on technical areas. Facilitate learning and present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures. Develops policies, strategies, processes and plans for communicating to diverse groups in an clear and professional manner. Develops change initiatives that target improvement of significant organizational capabilities. Builds a cooperative spirit and elicits maximum participation from each group member. Works with or leads others to re-prioritize work and reschedule commitments as necessary. Monitors planned improvement efforts in quality and productivity.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Are you passionate about helping solve complex challenges and supporting critical, large organizational change initiatives? As a member of the enterprise Change Management team, you will develop and execute strategic change management plans to support leaders through complex transformations and changes that impact people throughout Sanford Health.
The Sr. Change Management Consultant will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, culture and organization structures. The primary responsibility of this role will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing resistance to meet strategic objectives. This role will provide coaching to leaders sponsoring the change as well as all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions. This role will also support project teams in integrating change management activities and principles into their project plans.
The Change Management team’s purpose is to support the continuous advancement of our organization through focusing on the people side of change. This involves helping our leaders and stakeholders move from where they are today to where they need to be in the future. It could include changing culture, adopting new technology, redesigning organizational structures, managing mergers and acquisitions and more. We do this by accelerating adoption, utilization, and proficiency in new ways of working, by building our internal change management capability, and by preparing leadership to successfully lead their organizations through large-scale changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, healthcare administration or related discipline.
Minimum of five of experience in organizational development, organizational effectiveness, leadership, employee engagement, leadership coaching, workforce structure design, change initiative leadership or related field.
