JOB SUMMARY

Assess, regulate, organize, and coordinate learning programs in accordance with organizational strategy and accreditation regulations. Act as a liaison between Sanford Health and academic partners, specifically medical schools for oversight of medical students and resident physicians. Oversee Student Academic Affiliation Agreements.
Delegates the authority, responsibility and accountability necessary to support learning and development. Collaborates with educational facilities, employees, and other community agencies to provide education to Sanford employees, students and/or community members. Possess a working knowledge accreditation standards for programs specific to individual's area of responsibility. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for a comprehensive learning program. Provide guidance and direction to administrators, other educators, and/or health team members to successfully meet regulations. Flexibility as well as effective planning and organizational skills are required. Ability to develop strong working relationships, manage projects, facilitate change processes and effectively communicate to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrates successfully working with diverse groups of people in order to accomplish a common goal. Demonstrate flexibility as well as effective planning and organizational skills. Effective communication skills are essential: personal, verbal, written, and electronic. Ability to function in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-driven organization. Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office/Windows applications, analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with large or multiple teams that span functions, issues, locations, and time zones. Promotes a team culture that balances individual initiative and team collaboration and sharing of successes. Plays a leadership role in managing training developers to improve course designs, lesson plans, and user guides. Motivates others to work toward a common purpose. Evaluates the impact of adult learning programs on employee performance. Establishes standards, processes and best practices for training program delivery. Designs critical adult learning programs for the organization that are in line with learning and development strategies. Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Defines key learning objectives for an assigned/given population for a specific curriculum. Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes. Consults with different divisions within the organization to customize learning objectives. Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

This position is part-time working 50 hours per 2 week pay period.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree required. Field of study preference based on department training focus and specialties.
In lieu of Master's degree, will consider minimum eight years working experience equivalency. Additionally, have a minimum of four years of experience in a healthcare environment providing education/training, including the use of automated software applications. Ideally have at least two years project management experience as well as knowledge of adult learning principles and training methods is preferred.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications based on program training needs of the department and population focus.
