JOB SUMMARY

Licensed fixed wing pilot who is assigned and oriented to Sanford Air Transport. Responsible for flying fixed wing flight missions requested by Sanford. Fixed wing pilots must comply with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Demonstrate skills and experience as a pilot. Directly responsible for all operations pertaining to the safe efficient conduct of the flight from initial dispatch until termination of the flight. Good working knowledge of the company Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manual, and any other requirements pertinent to specific flights. Demonstrate interdisciplinary skills when working with team members. Effective critical thinking skills to problem solve and immediately respond to changing environments. Pilots must maintain a weight of 240 pounds or less when fully dressed in uniform. May be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call. All pilots will share on-call and vacation coverage shifts.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan flights according to government and company regulations, using aeronautical charts and navigation instruments.;Obtain and review data such as load weights, fuel supplies, weather conditions, and flight schedules to determine flight plans and identify needed changes.;Identifies the key resources at hand to fulfill own responsibilities. Explains how own motivation relates to the workplace. Effectively performs the technical job aspects, continuously building knowledge and keeping up-to-date on technical and procedural job components. Demonstrates open, friendly, accepting, and supportive behaviors with team members. Demonstrates current knowledge of the regulatory environment for industry segment. Choose routes, altitudes, and speeds that will provide the fastest, safest, and smoothest flights. Assists in assessing risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives. Adjusts to new or changing assignments, processes, and people. Takes personal ownership of and strives to meet assigned accountability expectations. Provides examples of how collaboration has helped achieve organizational goals.

Sanford AirMed offers pilots an exceptional opportunity to fly as a two-pilot crew in King Air 200s and a schedule with flexibility that is rarely found in aviation!

QUALIFICATIONS

Post secondary education with previous Part 135 experience preferred.
Minimum of 2,000 fixed-wing flight hours. 500 multi-engine hours preferred, with turbine time desired.
Possess or be able to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate (MEL) within one year of getting hired by Sanford. Possess a current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Certificate with Multi-Engine Land and instrument rating. Possess a current second class medical certificate.
