Day Care Director

Supervises and coordinates activities, finances, and personnel of the department.  Is responsible for the establishment of the program for childcare services for children 6 weeks – 12 years of age, the preschool and latch-key programs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises all employees in the Bright Beginnings department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   Bachelor's degree in child development or elementary education and at least one year of work experience in a childcare facility preferred.  Experience in directing a daycare center is preferred.  Must have all components to be a director under the state guidelines.

Hours
Monday-Friday days (occasional evenings and weekends)
