Who We're Looking For:

Are you always on the move, mechanically inclined, and know your way around 'the shop' and parts counter? Are you a go-getter with the ability to fix a problem and provide excellent customer service at the same time? Do you pride yourself on getting the job done right the first time and don't mind getting a little dirt on your hands in the process? If so, do your best work with Acme Tools as a Service Writer!

What You'll Take Ownership Of:

• Writing service orders for customer tools and equipment and moving them to the proper location

• Distributing work orders to service technicians and following up to ensure timely repairs

• Checking on tools that are out for vendor repairs, checking them into the system after repair, confirming pricing when they arrive and contacting customer when they are ready for pick-up

• Working with internal and external customers to find the correct parts in a timely and efficient manner

• Maintaining stocking levels and researching parts pricing and labor estimates

• Identifying new parts and part categories that need to be added to increase customer satisfaction levels and checking on backordered parts for customers

• Interacting with customers at the counter and over the phone to ensure a positive experience with the parts department and the store

• Assisting in cycle counting of the physical inventory, ordering, receiving, pricing, and stocking parts in the service area, as well entering part numbers into the computer system

• Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards, striving to improve safety standards, and reporting any suspicious activity

• Performing related tasks as assigned

Need-To-Haves:

• Excellent customer-service skills

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software

• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for up to 10 hours, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

• Knowledge of tools and equipment

Skills and Experience Preferred:

• Mechanical aptitude

• Previous service writing experience
