The Import/Export Coordinator is responsible for performing basic and advanced logistics functions. This includes daily tasks such as shipping/receiving in ERP system, assigning HTS/Schedule B codes, and researching country of origin. The Import/Export Coordinator will be responsible for understanding the latest regulations as they relate to the site; writing, maintaining, training and implementing robust import/export compliance plans. In addition, they will coordinate annual audits of various data elements related to importing and exporting to ensure accuracy. They will handle coordination of dangerous goods shipments. They will also analyze freight costs, free trade agreements, and coordinate duty drawback for the best overall outcome.
Required experience:
- 4 years logistics experience, preferably with importing and exporting
Other skills and abilities:
- Product Classification
- IATA / DOT Certified for Dangerous Goods
- Able to use Fed Ex, UPS and DHL online software.
- Able to learn and use ERP systems and processes.
Education, experience and technical skills
- High School Diploma Required
- Additional Degrees, Experience, or Certificates Preferred
