JOB SUMMARY

Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The fall intern will work in the Nutrition & Food Service Department, completing a variety of projects such as gathering data and coding of allergens in Cbord, assisting with prep work for a Cbord upgrade, etc. Intern will work in the Nutrition & Food Service offices. Pur intern will gather updated nutrition and allergen information from multiple sources, review data and update pertinent information into the Cbord System. Coding of new allergen diets in Cbord to interface from One Chart. Make changes to Meal Food Lists/Menus in Cbord that the Call Center uses to increase efficiency & accuracy. Assist with prep work, training and implementation of Cbord upgrade across the enterprise. Assist South Campus and SMCF Food Service with the implementation of Tray Monitor. Work on misc. projects provided by mentors ~ training materials, review of documents, etc. Intern will participate in Daily Safety Brief on occasion, Room Service Departmental leadership meetings and meetings with enterprise counterparts as it relates to Cbord. The intern must be in Dietetic program or Pre-Dietetics program. Strong computer skills and ability to work independently at times. The intern must commit to the hours scheduled during the 12-week internship.
Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

QUALIFICATIONS

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.
Intern must be in Dietetic program or Pre-Dietetics program. Strong computer skills and ability to work independently at times.
Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
