Job you will do

Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an Insurance Specialist might include the following:
  • Works with EBFS leadership to establish short-term and long-term goals and set revenue targets.
  • Assists Director of Practice Management and Compliance Manager in determining workflows, processes, and procedures for insurance services.
  • Handles client facing and back-office sales support and coordination, maximizing strategic partners and internal staff relationships.
  • Provides insurance education, strategies, and resources to EBFS Financial Advisors and Eide Bailly tax, audit, industry and wealth planning staff and Partners.
  • Researches and communicates life insurance, LTC/DI insurance, and annuity strategies.
  • Performs ongoing fact-finding to uncover organic growth opportunities, multi-generational opportunities, cross-sell firm services and deepen client relationships.
  • Researches aspects related to case design including policy types, companies to consider, and new strategies.
  • Collects data from client to prepare policies and reviews underwriting and other options.
  • Attends meetings and continuing education sessions to stay current about products, services and policies.
  • Complies with all industry rules and regulations.
  • Performs all duties within the context of the EBFS One-Practice Model.

 

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in insurance services.
  • Securities license preferred.
  • Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), or other designations strongly preferred.
  • Licensed Life and Health Insurance Professional preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance principles and related software applications.
  • Demonstrates quality and discipline while working on independent projects.
  • Strong business development and account management skills within the financial services sector.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and using various software packages.
  • Demonstrates competencies in accordance with Career Development.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
  • Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, using a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
