Job Summary:
Designs and manufactures high quality, cost effective, operator cabins used in construction, forestry, agriculture and utility truck applications. The Mechanical Designer/Product Design Technician is a key contributor, using CAD and other tools to conceive, document and then release the product design within cost, quality and time constraints. The work is completed primarily using PTC Creo. Responsibilities include the completion of the practical work, but also includes taking responsibility for product development timing, product cost and product manufacturability in a cross-functional setting.

Primary Job Activities:

Complete Product Design in 3D CAD with input from customer, suppliers, design & manufacturing engineers.
Track issues and find solutions in a timely manner.
Design products within design specifications, cost parameters, and quality requirements.
Design safe and manufacturable products.
Communicate design status to the team and organization with actionable follow up steps.
Solve problems in a structured manner ensuring root cause is understood and addressed.
Interaction and follow up on production floor and customer site with a "go and see" mindset to understand issues and provide solutions.
