Forum Communications Company is accepting applications for a Finance Director.

Summary:

Responsible for coordinating and managing the company's Purchase Card Program. Coordinate, analyze and report financial/budget performance to the VP of Finance. Works with the Business Managers to prepare and implement policies and procedures relating to finance and accounting while ensuring accounting principles and practices are followed.

Duties include:
  • Manage the company Purchase Card Program.
  • Responsible for reviewing capital expenditures and ensure all documents are provided prior to submittal.
  • Prepare and submit all reports as required, may include auditing.
  • Work with Business Managers on preparation of budget submission.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory regulations.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned to include back up for Corporate Accounting Director and other accounting/finance functions as required.


Position Requirements
  • BA/BS degree with emphasis on accounting; or equivalent Certified Public Accountant.
  • At least five years accounting experience including areas of general accounting and supervisory experience.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance principles, practices, regulations and laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills proficient in Windows including Word and advanced in Excel knowledge.
  • Ability to define problems and analyze information while working under pressure.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
  • Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.
