Maintenance Specialist I

This position will be located at the Grand Forks International Airport with the Grand Forks Airport Authority

Will be required to operate motorized heavy equipment and vehicles for mowing and snow removal operations. Maintains airport buildings and grounds; performs maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems; provides updates to supervisors as needed. Maintains and repairs airfield lighting systems and landing aids; maintains and repairs airfield runways, taxiways and aprons including painting, mowing, minor pavement repairs, crack sealing, weed control and drainage. Maintains airport streets and parking lots, including painting lines, repairing signs, lighting, pavement repairs and crack sealing.

Basic requirements are a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with good driving record, and demonstrated evidence of experience in the above areas. Employment with the Airport Authority is contingent upon an education/experience background investigation, a drug-screen, a fingerprint-based criminal history record check processed by the FBI, and the ability to be granted a security identification badge as mandated by the Transportation Security Administration. The successful candidate must work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and overtime. Starting hourly wage ranging from $16.67 to $16.97 DOQ plus benefits and overtime.
