Position Description:
This Lecturer position will coordinate the industry side of the capstone program for the Department of Computer Science. This includes responsibility for contacting and working with industry professionals to develop and arrange industry sponsors for capstone projects.
S/he is also responsible for teaching CSci 445, Software Projects Capstone each spring semester (prerequisites of CSci 313 and 366). This involves the following: 1) administering the process of forming the registered students into teams of typically 4 students , 2) matching available projects to the teams, 3) advising the teams concerning the following of the multiple steps of project management and scheduling necessary to carry out their capstone project successfully, 4) assisting the teams in working with their project sponsor contact people, and 5) specifying and receiving project deliverables, including reports and presentations.
This position reports to the Chair of Computer Science.

Minimum Qualifications:
o Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related area.
o Six or more years of industry experience working for a company, including direct experience in software development and in project management .
Effective oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
o Ten or more years of industry experience working for a company, including direct experience in software development and in project management.
o Proven ability to work successfully in team settings.
o Experience mentoring student teams and/or capstone project teams.
