JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned laboratory focus, providing general oversight, management and leadership for large scale multi-site research projects. Provide oversight for development and implementation of new research projects and the assurance of good research practices.
Possess an in-depth knowledge of federal regulations and guidance documents for the conduct of research, with the skill and ability to implement all aspects of focused research study protocols. Perform all responsibilities and duties in accordance with institution and industry policy and procedures and the overall goals and objectives of Sanford Research. Responsible for overseeing data collection sites, compiling and analyzing data, writing reports, identifying funding sources and assisting with grant writing.
Able to define the scope of work, deliverables and timelines for various projects, and make decisions regarding allocation of personnel and resources. Possess the ability to implement research protocol in the subject discipline with the ability to troubleshoot issues. Possess knowledge of modern research methods, data collection and analysis.
Demonstrate experience in presenting and evaluating data, and the ability to work collaboratively with a research group or team. Responsible for informed consent form development, budget creation, staffing assessment, logistics and feasibility of protocol within the department. Act as the liaison with the Institutional Review Board and other research departments as required. Occasional local travel between sites may be required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Promotes the impact of technology on research approaches and practices. Monitors execution of decisions to ensure consistency with original intention. Monitors and ensures adherence to organization's financial practices and standards. Champions organization's project management methodology, tools, and techniques. Formulates the organization's staffing strategies for current and future demands. Applies policies and procedures designed to ensure compliance with policies and ethical codes. Ensures business priorities take first place and adjusts work effort accordingly. Designs and orchestrates the use of business analytics for strategic decision making. Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Creates initiatives that foster communication, directness and spirit of cooperation. Coaches others in methods of identifying and correcting errors, oversights and omissions.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's
degree in related field required.
Five years clinical research experience required. Minimum of five years
management experience preferred.
CCRP
(Certified Clinical Research Professional) required.
