Job Description
A Truck Assembler is responsible for completing the following duties:
- Performing all necessary assembly routines before and after trucks and trailersarepainted
- Installing pre-fabricated parts on trucks trailers
- Operating equipment in a 100% safe manner following appropriate regulations, policies and procedures
- Readingand interpreting blueprints to perform proper assembly procedures
- Using a variety of hand tools to complete assembly procedures
- Installing pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems on tanker trucks and trailers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical background or experience
- Understanding of 12V electrical systems
- Understanding of hydraulic systems
- Understanding of air systems
- Abilityto read blueprints
- Abilityto read 1/8", 1/16",gradations on tape measure
- Abilityto convert feet to inches and vice versa
- Familiarity with FCAW welding
- Familiarity with TIG welding
