Provide leadership in Academics to ensure high quality programming and academic excellence by developing policies, procedures, processes, standards, templates, and an evidence-based culture in areas such as curriculum, instructional delivery, assessment, faculty professional development, academic program management and assessment, student learning outcomes, and distance learning.

Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and manage processes for the planning, organization, implementation, administration, assessment, and revision of curriculum and academic support services.
Provide support and expertise for those charged with assessment and accreditation efforts for the College.
Support the research agenda for the College to ensure data-informed decision making and to maximize organizational effectiveness and efficiencies with across the college.
Provide a structure and process for master scheduling of programs and courses, in a variety of delivery modes, in collaboration with the academic deans.
Support the college's strategic planning model to successfully incorporate it into the organization; work collaboratively with accountable managers and responsible persons to track progress and prepare reports.
Foster continuous improvement of all academic offerings by supporting the program review process, including General Education outcomes to include measuring, tracking, and reporting of student learning outcomes and ensuring alignment with accreditation requirements.
In collaboration with academic deans, and based on data and national best practice, establish standards and policies that ensure high quality instruction in all modalities.
In coordination with Human Resources, and based on the strategic plan and institutional priorities for development, provide oversight that guides the professional development and training of faculty and academic leadership to include the Employee Development Center, mentoring program, in-services, etc.
As requested by the Vice President, Academics, represent the College and the Vice President, Academics in internal and external arenas and assist the Vice President, Academics in various efforts.
Lead and manage special projects as assigned by the Vice President, Academics.
Establish a systematic approach for the implementation and evaluation of academic policies, standards, and procedures.
Supervise, support, and evaluate staff in areas of responsibility.
Effectively prepare and maintain budget.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master's degree in education, assessment, or related field from an accredited institution required. Doctorate in related field from an accredited institution preferred.
Minimum of three years full-time teaching experience required. Online teaching experience preferred. College accreditation experience preferred. Extensive experience in coordinating or leading quality initiatives. Five years of prior supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership skills required. Preferably at the post-secondary educational level. Extensive experience in identifying needs, developing, and delivering professional development initiatives. Experience in the development and delivery of best-in-class methods for virtual teaching, learning, and academic assessment. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a college-level vision that supports continuous improvement in teaching and learning excellence. Experience in the development and implementation of needs assessments and program evaluation methodology. Knowledge and ability to use multiple software programs and technologies such as Microsoft Office applications, podcasting, smart classrooms, white boards, online content management systems, etc. Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Must possess ability to: * Focus and manage individual performance by helping others set performance goals and then, track results and evaluate performance effectiveness. * Encourage others to implement better approaches to address problems and opportunities; lead the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace. * Use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to build, motivate, and guide a cohesive team to complete team goals. * Set high goals for personal and group accomplishment; use measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals; tenaciously work to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement. * Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment (e.g., people, processes, structure, or culture); adjust effectively to change by exploring the benefits, trying new approaches, and collaborating with others to make the change successful. * Take prompt action to accomplish work goals; take action to achieve results beyond what is required; be proactive. * Set high standards of performance for self and others; assume responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-impose standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed. * Demonstrate a positive attitude and approach toward work.
