OPENING DATE: 08/23/19

CLOSING DATE: 09/04/2019

STARTING DATE: 10/01/2019, or sooner if possible

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responsible for providing quality customer service relating to academic records topics to students, parents, staff and faculty.
  2. Responsible for maintaining, managing and coordinating student registration related activities in accordance with department guidelines and procedures for new students.

Directly accountable and responsible to the Associate Registrar.

DUTIES:
Office support duties - 90%
  1. Maintains confidentiality of student records consistent with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act.
  2. Receives and responds to written, personal, and telephone inquiries and disseminates materials and information.
  3. Plans, organizes and oversees daily operations relative to student registration for new student registration for Liberal Arts, Non-Limited CTE, and distance education programs.
  4. Performs academic records functions related to program/advisor changes, student file status changes, and creating and discontinuing careers.
  5. Student advisor updates, including clean-up of missing advisors and reassignments of advisors.
  6. Scans, captures and routes Academic Records documents using electronic imaging.
  7. Provides relevant and accurate information to students regarding CampusConnection processes.
  8. Develops detailed business processes for assigned duties.
Miscellaneous duties - 10%
  1. Supports innovation, creativity and ideas to improve/enhance processes, functions, etc. in the department and as a whole for the college.
  2. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • Appropriate associate degree or two years of directly related work experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel and Access), email and electronic calendar and excellent keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills (ability to work well with a variety of people).
  • Strong written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to details and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage many different activities.
  • Disciplined and able to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred:
  • Experience in a comparable position in higher education.
  • Experience in and understanding of PeopleSoft software.
  • Experience with using electronic imaging system.
