Job Summary

The Crisis Response Worker is a member of a mobile crisis response team consisting of two or more mental health professionals, or at least one mental health professional and one mental health practitioner, and provides immediate crisis response. Has direct contact with individuals in crisis and is responsible for the delivery, coordination, and documentation of short-term, intensive mental health services provided during a mental health crisis or emergency. The Crisis Response Worker, under clinical supervision if not independently clinically licensed, coordinates the delivery of program services including Crisis Assessment, Intervention and Stabilization. Crisis Response Worker must be experienced in, and have knowledge of: Mental health assessment, treatment engagement strategies, engagement of recipient's support system, crisis intervention techniques and emergency clinical decision-making abilities. Documents on-site observations and all interventions. Interventions are individualized and culturally responsive. Work is often performed in community settings and may involve coordination with additional community services.

This position is on-call, as needed.

Qualifications

In Minnesota, must have at least 30 hours of crisis intervention and stabilization training during the past two years and meet the Minnesota Department of Human Services requirements for Mental Health Practitioner: Master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university or a Bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences with at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to individuals with mental illness; or 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to individuals with mental illness.
Must possess a valid class D driver's license and auto insurance. Must maintain a good driving record and have access to personal vehicle and willingness to use the vehicle in carrying out position responsibilities.
