Sr Business Project Manager

Genesis10 is seeking a Sr Project Manager with SPOC (Single Point of Contact) experience for a contract position in Minneapolis.?

Our BUSINESS PMO is looking for an experienced senior business project manager with a proven track record of several projects implemented within scope time-line and cost.
The project manager will be part of a large program and may move into a program management role as the program is further defined. The program is implementing a regulatory change.

Project Responsibilities include:
- Draft and maintain detailed project plans for all the work components across all business areas, technology, service/operations business areas as well as all marketing, training and communications areas. This role will manage across all these areas as the Single Point of Contact PM. The PM will be responsible to pull all the project plans across all the project stakeholders and business areas into one consolidated plan and ensure everything stays on track.
- Create a detailed critical path across all the different work areas to track project status and be able to identify on a daily basis if anything in not on track. This needs to be highlighted to management immediately with an associated action plan.
- Manage project core and owner meetings and be able to communicate clearly at all levels
- Produce clear and concise project status for many different audiences
- Manage project risks, issues, change requests and questions pro-actively. Escalate to the Steering Committee/Project Sponsor risks and issues with potential significant impact
- Consistently provide internal and external stakeholder communications and progress reports that effectively outline the project status, risks, issues and action plans to ensure project success
- Work effectively with business partners, vendors, technology, and project management staff to develop the project agenda and ensure agreement/adoption of project objectives/deliverables by all affected constituencies
- Analyze project performance, create cost benefit analysis and identify optimal solutions that minimize the negative impact and trade offs
Specific skills:
- Exceptional project planning across a broad range of business units and work components
- Proven track record in identifying and managing the critical path of big project efforts
- Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, timeline and cost (know how to control scope, timeline and cost)
- Strong financial management skills including experience with creating / updating monthly forecasts, and review of actuals and variances.
- Strong executive presence and experience with facilitating core, owner and steering committee meetings.
- ability to execute at all levels within the organization, strong written and verbal skills, and the ability to manage cross-organizational teams to drive execution
- execute effectively with minimal guidance/leadership
- proven track record in delivering large cross-organizational project
- Holding resources accountable for delivering on the project plan, including providing coaching and mentoring of resources across a broad range of business functions as well as vendors and internal technology deliverables
- Adhering to the approved project methodology for project management and maintains project artifacts and records
