Job Title: DevOps Software Engineer Department: IT Reports to: Director of Information Technology FLSA Status: Exempt Position Objective:

    Primary Responsibilities:
  • IT generalist capable of contributing to needs in development, testing, operations, security, and performance
  • Work closely with development, testing, and operations to help ensure end-to-end quality and robustness of IT
  • Automate system builds, deployments, and testing
  • Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging tools
  • Create software installation packages and manage software deployments
  • Assist with the development and testing of internal business software applications
  • Help build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for development, integration, test, and production environments
  • Recommend and implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Communicate openly, share knowledge, build positive collaboration between departments and team members
  • Support and contribute to department and company metrics
  • Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture

    General Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to, support and promote the Aagard vision and culture statements
  • Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members
  • Accurately and professionally represent Aagard to customers and vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, IT or related field or equivalent combination of education and
  • Familiarity with DevOps approaches and practices
  • Experience with continuous integration, configuration management, infrastructure automation, and/or build tools
  • Experience with system logging and metrics frameworks
  • Familiarity with version control systems
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Knowledge of software development processes
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people both verbally and in writing, including presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Self-starter, creative and problem solver
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Passion for excellence

  • Ability to travel as required
    Preferred Experience/Skills: Experience in the following areas will be helpful to this position:

  • Experience with TFS Build & Release
  • Experience with SCCM software deployments
  • Agile software development process experience
  • Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, .NET, WiX Toolset and/or PowerShell
