Position Description:
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at North Dakota State University ( NDSU ) invites applications for a position of post-doctoral fellow. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Pharmacology, Physiology or Biochemistry in the areas of Cardiovascular or Diabetes research. They must be highly motivated, have a strong record of scholarship, and possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills.
The position is a renewable 2-year position, funded by a National Institute of Health RO1-grant and available immediately. The candidate will investigate the role of ACE2/Angiotensin-(1-7)/Mas receptor pathway in the vascular progenitor cells in diabetes.

Previous research training in mouse models of human diseases is required. Expertise in flow cytometry, cell culture/cell-based assays, immunohistochemistry/confocal microscopy, and routinely used biochemical techniques is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with graduate students in the group and core facilities at NDSU .

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Pharmacology, Physiology or Biochemistry, have at least one published manuscript as a first-author, expertise in working with mouse models and effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with training in mouse models of cardiovascular diseases in compliance with IACUC , flow cytometry, cell culture/cell-based assays, immunohistochemistry/confocal microscopy, and able to independently prepare manuscripts for publication
