Department: 46800 Hospital Billing CAH/Cent/West
Job Description: Responsible for accurate processing and billing support in addressing insurance, coding, registration, and other billing questions in order to facilitate the claim for payment. Position is the primary contact and is responsible for responding to patient, clinical, and other professional inquiries. Performs account analysis to evaluate, develop, and implement an action plan to educate guarantors of their financial responsibilities. This position works closely with insurance companies, credentialing, access and managed care, and other internal and external stakeholders tied to the billing system. Position is also responsible for research and communication of payer, HIPAA, or other regulatory changes affecting the billing of health insurance claims and making recommendations regarding billing and system operations to improve payment turnaround.
Work Experience:
1 year healthcare experience in healthcare billing/revenue services.
