Role Summary:

The Online Specialist will communicate with assigned source markets and other departments to meet web metrics and commercial targets through website content management.

What you will be doing:

As an Online Specialist you will:

  • Troubleshoot any Drupal content management issues while supporting the marketing and digital teams in their efforts to convert traffic online
  • Identify and report front and back-end web development issues including web infrastructure, API and reservation system bugs to ensure that websites are operational
  • Organize and deliver training and support to global ecommerce team as required
  • Contribute to the management and execution of commercial, marketing and product content updates in a continued effort to enhance online messaging
  • Work with source markets and ecommerce teams to ensure the best use of email and other ecommerce initiatives, ultimately maximizing the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns
  • Assist with the development, planning and delivery of ongoing global ecommerce projects by gathering requirements, organizing ecommerce specialist resources, training and testing in different web environments and sites
  • Monitor web analytics and propose solutions to decrease bounce rate and booking funnel drop-off-the main goal being to improve the online customer journey and increase conversion rate from soft conversions and online bookings
  • Communicate and obtain feedback from Sales Agents about online content, navigation, search and book functionality, gauging potential pain points that might discourage customers to convert online
  • Stay up to date on new front-end/back-end ecommerce technologies and best online marketing practices to advise marketing and ecommerce teams

What we are looking for:

Must Have

  • Ecommerce/online experience
  • Proven experience on HTML - Dreamweaver 5.5 and CSS coding abilities
  • Experience with CMS - Content Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of Drupal as well as content and page creation within this CMS
  • Ability to demonstrate marketing, ecommerce and web development experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to work independently and communicate well within and between departments
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and deadlines
  • Desire to play a central role in the growth and success of an ambitious business

Nice to Have

  • Experience with JavaScript & jQuery a bonus
  • Understanding of digital marketing (SEO, PPC, Affiliates, Social Media) and how they should be used to maximize traffic and conversion
  • Experience with automated email marketing tools
  • Experience using web analytics tool as Google Analytics
  • Experience within the travel or yacht charter industry
