NURSING SUPERVISOR

Positions Available: 1 Full Time
Location: Bigfork, MN
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm

Scenic Rivers Health Services is a growing nonprofit healthcare organization located throughout northern Minnesota. We provide comprehensive primary care services to our patients through our medical and dental practices.

We are seeking a full time Nursing Supervisor to join our team of nursing staff and physicians in Bigfork, MN. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of daily functions and supervision of the nursing department. This position is also responsible for implementing a positive team environment through employee engagement and improvement of nursing practices.

Nursing Supervisor Responsibilities:

Work directly with providers and nursing staff to provide efficient and professional patient care and clinical procedure
Supervise and engage nursing staff, including LPNs and RN Care Coordinators, by providing guidance and support
Coordinate and determine optimal allocation of nursing staff on monthly schedule
Provide professional development of nursing staff through trainings, meetings, employee reviews, and clinical workflows
Develop policies and procedures for the nursing department as appropriate and work with senior administration on strategic planning of department goals
Participate in the assessment, evaluation, and planning of patient care
Serve as patient advocate, assessing care, and ensuring that quality care is given
Develop and implement work flow processes and procedures for improvement of productivity

Nursing Supervisor Requirements:

Patient Care Focus
Team Centered Approach
Leadership and Management Skills
Three years experience in a clinical or hospitalist setting
Relationship Building Skills
Excellent Communication Skills
Organizational and Multi Tasking Skills
EMR or EHR experience
Experience working with chronic disease patients or related case management experience

Preferred Education & Experience:

Degree in Registered Nursing with an active MN license
Five or more years working in a clinical setting with a Patient Centered Medical Home model
Experience working with Acute illnesses
