POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Manager, RN is responsible for all direct resident care activities performed during assigned tour of duty. Provide direction, supervision, and evaluation of all resident care. CM will coordinate nursing service activities with administration, community agencies, physicians, families, residents, consultant personnel, and ancillary service providers. Resident care needs, planning care to meet those needs, implementation of the care plan, evaluation of the care plan and revisions as indicated, as well as the administration of medications and treatments.

• Registered Nurses (RN)
• Licensed Practical Nurses
• Trained Medication Aides
• Nursing Assistants

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates positive behavior by

• Announces self and shows respect for the resident’s rights and dignity
• Wears name badge at all times while on duty with badge to be placed on
the front of the body and mid-thoracic region or above
• Follows dress code as defined.
• Demonstrates positive leadership ability, remains legally responsible for all
tasks delegated to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Demonstrates positive and cooperative team work behavior by
• Supports and maintains positive communications with supervisor, nursing
and other team members
• Complies with the attendance policy
• Supports team members in the delivery of care, assists with new employee
orientation as requested by DON or designee
• Assisting the licensed nurse in assuring all nursing tasks for the residents
are completed for the shift
• Demonstrates positive team communications with positive conflict resolution
and no gossiping
• Participates on committees as requested by the DON or designee
• Attends at least 75% of volunteer staff meetings/in-services and all
mandatory staff meetings/in-services
• Demonstrates willingness to fluctuate work schedule, lunch times and break
times according to resident and staffing needs
• Demonstrates consistent ability to work cooperatively with facility
Administration, Director of Nursing Service, nursing personnel, physicians,
residents, families, other facility personnel, consultants, community
agencies and ancillary service providers.
• Supervises daily assignments and assignment sheets for staff, evaluates
resident care activities and initiates corrective action as necessary.
• Advises Director of Nursing about supplies and equipment need.
• Assesses residents care needs, plans care to meet those needs,
implements of the care plan, evaluates the care and revises.
• Receives physician orders and processes these orders per policy; assures
that orders are implemented.
• Supervisory duties include but not limited to:
• Assures assigned tasks are completed by the Registered Nurse, Licensed
Practical Nurse, Trained Medication Aides and the Nursing Assistants
• Oversee the workloads to see that they are balanced and all residents
received the assigned care
• To assist the DON with discipline of nursing staff not following
policies/procedures and/or Nursing Safety Practice Policies and Procedures.
• Assume responsibility for the Nursing Standards of Practice.
• Completes the thorough documentation for all care provided.
• Assures report is given at the end of each shift and at Stand Up as
indicated.
• Demonstrates ability to organize work load, set priories, time management
and incurs minimal hours beyond routine shift hours.
• Assists the physician with rounds per facility practice
• Accurately and timely completes hospital transfers, admissions, discharges
and any other task as delegated by the DON to support efficient and
effective resident care.
• Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with
• HIPAA Regulations/Policy
• Vulnerable Adult Policy
• Nursing Safety Practices
• Minimal Lift Policy
• Infection Control Policy
• Demonstrates compliance with all facility and nursing policies as well as
rules and regulations which govern the operation of Field Crest Care Center.

QUALITIFICATIONS :

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• Current Minnesota licensure as a Registered Nurse
• C.P.R. certification

PERSONAL:

• Ability to push/pull equipment such as loaded medication carts, treatment
carts, lifts, wheelchair, beds and lift 25-50 pounds
• Hygiene conducive to working closely with others
• Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate equipment and clothing
• Visual and aural acuity
• Memory for details
• Skilled oral and written communications
