Job Details

Position Description:
The individual in this position provides high-level administrative support and coordinates operational support, inclusive of student employee hiring, office processes and special projects for the IT Division and its staff. Duties include assisting division staff in scheduling meetings; coordinating and overseeing special projects, events and conferences; coordinating the division's Student Technology Services program, including recruiting, hiring and supervising the Student Employment Coordinator; assisting with work-related travel arrangements and travel expense reimbursements; ordering and maintaining office supplies, key requests and department service vehicle tags; and other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• 2 or more years post-secondary education
• 2 or more years administrative support experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in current office applications/software
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of basic HR policies and practices
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professionalism and confidentiality
• Organizational and planning skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of effective supervision
• Positive and energetic attitude
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities calmly and efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, in a team environment, and in collaboration with others across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:
• Higher education experience
• 2-year HR degree or HR certification
• Experience using PeopleSoft or similar administrative tool
