Job Details

The Prairie Island Indian Community has an immediate opening for a Manager at the Dakota Station Convenience Store.

Qualified candidates must have a two or four year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Business Management or equivalent of a minimum two years of experience being in a managerial role that included responsibilities of supervising, cash handling, financial reporting and hiring. In addition, must have a Food Handler Certification from the State of MN.

Strong communication and organizational skills, knowledge of business practices and the ability to multi task is a must. The work hours vary, including holidays and weekends. This is a fast paced environment that includes responsibilities, but not limited to, daily bookkeeping, staff scheduling, inventory control, ordering, gasoline compliance and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and operation of store equipment.

Must be able to pass drug screen, background check and be sensitive to Native American culture. Indian preference applies in accordance with Section 7 (b) P.L 93-638.
