Your RoleAs an outside sales representative, you will represent Ralph's high standard of excellence. Your roll is to secure sales by meeting clients at a project site to determine what is the best solution to accomplish the customer's goal. You will follow that project through until completion providing the production staff the appropriate details to complete the project completely, accurately, and within proper profit margins. You will also develop future sales by creating and maintaining business relationships with builders, designers, and architects.
Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesSecure profitable sales following established sales processes and relationship selling by meeting with clients at their home or business.Create business relationships with potential users of company services to ensure future sales and increase sales volumeFollow sold projects through completion by providing the operations team and production staff the appropriate details and documentation. Communicate thoroughly and effectively with different personalities and in various situations.Document and coordinate all necessary information throughout the sales process such as quotes, notes, and change orders..Work with an internal sales person to complete sales in a timely manner and complete all details required to satisfy customers and all team members.
Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a detailed knowledge about all products and services provided by Ralph's Hardwood Floors.Attend weekly sales and production meetings to address sales topics, products and upcoming jobs.Present a positive image to customers by phone and in person from the initial lead through payment collectionPromote customer satisfaction with all prospect and customer communication.Maintain a clean appearance of company provided vehicle
Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.2 or 4-year degree preferred.Required SkillsValid driver's license with excellent driving record.Experience in flooring, construction management or outside sales required.Experience with customer management software preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Proficient in math.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
CompensationBased on experience (Base Salary plus Commission)This position is a full- time position with benefits. Benefits include health insurance, life Insurance, 401k, vacation, holiday pay, company provided vehicle and phone.Schedule:Monday to FridayWeekend work (Every third Saturday 8:00AM - Noon)Represent Ralph's at trade shows and networking events.Measures of Performance:Ability to secure sales contracts with new and existing clients as measured against a budget.Maintains proper profit margins.Develops trust with customers and generate repeat work from those customers.Follows the defined sales processIs professional, pays attention to detail, and works well as a member of a team.Is timely and meets all deadlines with all customer interactions and appointments.Communicates effectively with management, production staff, office staff, and customers.
