Join our Cleaning and Janitorial Team at Esko Schools. Full Time, 2:30 p.m. -11:00 p.m. during school year/days when school is not in session. Excellent benefit package.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, additional training preferred.
To provide students and staff with a safe, attractive, comfortable and efficient place to learn, play and develop.

Working Environment: Frequent interruptions. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds. Put up with unpleasant odors and fumes. Daily use of cleaning supplies and/or chemicals with safety first. Work in temperature changes. Work at heights. Work indoors and outdoors. Work with appropriate lawn and garden equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
*Help with building, grounds and equipment for safety. Inform Head Custodian as problems arise.
*Be responsible to direct the activities for the evening shifts as information is passed on from the Head Custodian.
*Assist visiting public utilizing the facility with directions and with obtaining and setting up equipment.
*Assist contractors as needed.
*Conduct ground maintenance including weed trimming, landscaping, snow removal, raking and similar tasks, using non-motorized equipment.
*Unload trucks, work in shop and perform other required miscellaneous tasks.
*Vacuum, sweep, scrub, and/or clean classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, gym and locker rooms, washrooms, and boiler room.
*Set up/clean up equipment for sporting events, concerts and other meetings or special events.
*Be responsible to set up equipment and make rooms ready for community education activities.
*Perform other related work as apparent or assigned by Head Custodian or Superintendent.
*Report any maintenance needs to supervisor.
*Use appropriate cleaner fluids/supplies.
*Refinishing floors.
*Maintain building and grounds security.
Problem Solving:
*The custodian/cleaner person must use the best communication techniques and etiquette in dealing with clientele, who can be difficult at times and/or require special arrangements because of their personal or vocational disabilities, in order to ascertain problems and/or concerns and to deal with those problems and/or concerns appropriately.
